Located 2 kilometres east of Chicxulub on a wide open stretch of beach, Villa Marie Theresa offers privacy and a pleasant quiet holiday location. Unlike most properties along the beach, the pool is located in the back in a garden setting among waving palm trees and bougainvillaea. The villa has a large terrace at the front where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee. Later you might read a book, watch the local fishermen or watch the sea birds diving for fish. The main floor has an open concept with a living, dining and kitchen area. There is one room off to the side for watching TV. There is also a bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the main floor. The second floor has two bedrooms, each with their own separate bathrooms. Behind the main house, about 10 meters away, is a separate building containing a 4th bedroom. Attached to the 4th bedroom building through a separate entrance is the caretaker's house. The grounds behind the main house are beautiful with a terrace covered in bougainvillaea and the yard to the road is full of coconut trees. This villa and grounds have an unique charm. Guests often leave saying how relaxed they are and wondering where their time went. The walk from Villa Marie Theresa, either by the beach or the main road, would take approximately 25 minutes. There is a bus service during the day that passes by about every 25 minutes. Guests in the past have either had their own car, rented for periods of their stay or used taxis to go to Progreso for groceries. There is a land line and it is possible to hook up high speed internet during your stay with Telemex.
